Reservation for EWS is mere a Political Agenda not a Reservation

Inequality of world is not concentrated in India alone, whether it is the most developed nation of World like USA or least developed countries of Africa. Entire globe have some extent of social inequality like
racial,ethnic,financial,developed-undeveloped. But Economic equality is such a kind of disparity that exist in above all these inequalities. If you are richest person of your country nobody will ask or consider or hesitate to sit, eat, live ,trade with you. Your financial condition is key to destroy all types of these inequalities. Since independence SC & ST community got reserved provision in education and job sector and later on in 1990s OBC community was also considered.

Too late the poors of upper caste got their right in 2019 receiving their status as EWS community. But still they lack basic needs that needs to be considered at earliest.

AGE LIMIT

At present in all government exams there is extension of age limit criteria for at least 3 to 9 years depending on different exams. But in case of EWS there is nothing not even a single month  extra age limit for EWS candidate. That is complete inequality if we compare with other caste where a rich family in other caste still enjoy the quota of more age limit

We ask why ??.. if the reservation has been given then it should have some advantage to all categories

FEE CONCESSION

It is complete hypocrisy of government in this regard. Even a fool individual will be asked to make some policy about those people who are economically weak he will consider some financial benefit or subsidy for them.

But you will be surprised to know that not even a single rupees less a EWS candidate have to pay even though his family income is nothing for any government exams. They are charged an average 700 to 1500  for examination fees or registration charges for admission in any institute which is much higher than what other category candidates have to pay. Students belonging to EWS category resist to pay and lose the chance to apply for govt exams or take admission because of these high charges paid to be paid by them. This is complete exploitation to the EWS candidates.

SCHOLARSHIP

There is not any single scheme or scholarship launched so far by the government that can be considered as helpful for the upliftment of EWS category students.Students are debarred from any type of scholarship even they are top rankers in exams. It further hinders the way a high merit student to think about further higher studies or to think about to get admission in good institute.

Most of the scholarship loans are provided only to other category students even they are financially good enough not to require any type of financial assistance.

Government should instantly in mission mode should include all these candidates  either to the scholarship schemes they already have launched or should launch new schemes for their financial upliftment

EWS COMMISSION

It is the most important that there should be an independent constitution body like all other categories have.

  • An EWS Commission should be an independent body having constitution status  for the reporting and evaluating of the conditions of EWS.
  • It includes like inclusion & exclusion of deserving or undeserving candidates. Any policy change requirement  recommendation for this community.
  • A quasi - judicial body which can look into the complaints & other matters  of EWS quota at its own level before referring all issues to the higher courts so that courts will not have more burden

Indian context of looking these inequality is totally different what the globes considers here people are prejudiced by their historical past that creates hatred among different communities while the role of history should be to unite and create a feeling of oneness and a bond of one family. No doubt India has a history of dominance of certain community in past but this is not in the case of India only. But its solution is not that government should create policies that further promotes hatred in society and further division in society. Any social reform could not be possible by formulating a reactionary policy so we should look all these positively and equally.
